We’re growing, and we need you! GripTape is looking for volunteers to support our next group of Challengers beginning in June 2018. Do you have 10 hours over 12 weeks to encourage young people as they pursue their learning passions this summer?

GripTape has been busy! We just launched our fifth Learning Challenge with youth from across the United States, including a growing community in Connecticut and, for the first time, young people from New Mexico. These Challengers shared passions that deeply inspire us — with topics that range from gun control to culinary arts to colorism. We’re excited to travel alongside them as they pursue their learning journeys!
If you know young people between 15–19 years old who want to explore a topic they’re passionate about, share www.griptape.org! Applications for our summer Challenge will be open from May 4 to June 3, and we can’t wait to see what the next group of youth wants to learn!
In the meantime, check out what Challenger Sandeep Rao had to say about his recent GripTape experience.
Learning Challenge Title: Entrepreneurship and I
“Over the past year or so, I’ve developed a great interest and passion in entrepreneurship and the creation of services that can help better the world we live in. As part of my learning journey through GripTape, I worked on creating a medical platform for patients to match with doctors in order to further ease the process of finding the right doctor for oneself. I’ve experienced this issue firsthand, and this is what motivated me to try and help fix the problem.
GripTape allowed me to explore new avenues and provided me an opportunity to show myself that I am capable of anything, provided I put in the work. This changed my perspective on what success looks like in the long run and why it’s imperative to give back to society, and I can’t thank GripTape enough for this wonderful experience that I think every student must have.”
